Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey was once hoping Texas would notch some other signature victory on Saturday towards Oklahoma on this pace’s Crimson River Contention in Dallas.
Previous to the Fat 12 showdown, McConaughey joined the group on ESPN’s Faculty GameDay, sharing that the Longhorns had been on a “mission” this season with hopes of competing for a Faculty Soccer Playoff nationwide championship. When Texas kicker Bert Auburn booted a 47-yard grassland purpose with 1:17 to play games in legislation to offer the Longhorns a 30–27 benefit, it seemed that Texas would pick out up some other prolific win.
That’s till Dillon Gabriel delivered on a five-play, 75-yard pressure that ended with a three-yard landing cross to Nic Anderson, securing a 34–30 victory for the Sooners. Later the sport, McConaughey, a Texas alumnus, stated the Longhorns left remaining past at the clock for the Sooners to clash again.

Texas (5–1) will input its bye occasion sooner than going back on motion towards Houston on Oct. 21.
