Prince Jackson is reflecting on his overdue father’s non-public struggles.

In particular, the 26-year-old recalled Michael Jackson‘s lack of confidence over his vitiligo, a condition which reasons the surface to lose colour of pigmentation. 

“When I was younger, he was always explaining to me, speaking about that,” Prince remembered right through an Aug. 30 appearance on Mike Tyson‘s podcast Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson. “I think it was even in the autopsy report. I think the cause of it is up for speculation, but it’s either vitiligo or some form of lupus which contributed to the vitiligo.”

He endured, “He had a lot of insecurity around, kind of looking blotchy in his appearance. So he wanted to see if he could smooth out his appearance, to help with his security on his physical appearance.” 

Upcoming, Prince shared the tactics he’s nonetheless finding out about his dad, who passed away at the age of 50 in 2009, when Prince was once 12. 

“He was very interesting,” he stated. “Personally, I’m doing a lot of research on him and learning a lot about his story. And there’s so much to cover.”
