The College of West Georgia is shifting up to NCAA Section I pageant as a member of the Atlantic Solar Convention, efficient July 1, 2024, the varsity introduced Friday. Moreover, West Georgia’s soccer crew will likely be a part of the United Athletic Convention, which is an alliance between the ASUN and the Western Athletic Convention.
West Georgia has been a pressure within the Gulf South Convention of NCAA Section II since 1983, profitable 11 basketball titles, two soccer championships and no less than one name in 8 alternative sports activities all over that span. Moreover, West Georgia has produced six NCAA Section II regional titles in 5 other sports activities since 1998.
The Wolves recently have 14 collegiate groups and can upload 4 extra upcoming making the journey to Section I.
