Gabrielle Union Sparks Debate Online with Recent Revelation about Her Marriage.

A clip from the “Idea Generation” podcast’s episode on Monday caught the attention of Black Millionaires on Twitter. The clip featured Gabrielle Union, known for her role in “Bring It On,” discussing the financial dynamics of her marriage with retired NBA star Dwyane Wade. Union revealed that they evenly split their expenses, and this snippet swiftly gained widespread attention on social media.

“It’s weird to say I’m head of household because in this household, we split everything 50/50,” Union admitted.

“But in the other households that each of us have to support … there’s always this, like, gorilla on your back, that’s like, ‘You better work, b—, you better work. Oh, you’re going to sleep in? You know, somebody might not eat.’ And it’s hard.”

Gabrielle Union Opens Up About the Impact of Anxiety and Past Trauma, and Her Ongoing Battle to Overcome them.

“I struggle with that still,” she said. “I think I just have more responsibilities for my money. I get nervous like, ‘Oh, God, that movie didn’t open, you know, what does that mean? … Am I going to have enough to hold everybody up?’ And everyone’s like, ‘It’s coming. Calm down.’ I’m trying to find peace in the journey, not using my anxiety and scarcity mindset to be my engine, which is hard.”

According to CNBC, Wade, who retired from the NBA in 2019, amassed a fortune of $196 million throughout his illustrious 16-year career. On the other hand, Union has been actively involved in the entertainment industry since 1993, showcasing her talents as an actress, while also establishing herself as a savvy businesswoman, real estate investor, and a celebrated author, with two memoirs that have achieved remarkable success.

These two accomplished individuals, who have achieved significant financial success independently, have been happily married since 2014.

In a candid conversation with Dax Shepard on an episode of the “Armchair Expert” podcast in January, Union bravely opened up about her past relationship with former NFL player Chris Howard. She candidly acknowledged the dysfunctional nature of their marriage, expressing her feelings of entitlement that led her to consider infidelity.

“I was paying all the bills,” she said. “I was working my ass off, and I felt like that’s what comes [with] the spoils of riches and, like my dad before me, whoever has the most gets to do whatever the hell they want, is what I thought. And it was just dysfunctional from day one.”

It seems that the star of “Love & Basketball” is feeling more content in her current situation. However, when word got out on the internet that she and Wade evenly shared their expenses, people had a lot to express about it.
